Hi there,

I’m Matin. An Iranian student of Graphic design currently living in Lisbon who’s just about to finally graduate.Ever since I was a child I was privileged enough to have lived and traveled to many countries. It was definitely not all sunshine and roses when I had to move schools and communicate with kids who I barely knew a word of their language. But somehow I learned to appreciate it as I got older and it soon became a passion of mine to travel, learn languages and meet people from other cultures and countries. It all started when I went to uni back in Iran and found my self between a bunch of travel loving friends who made traveling so memorable, fun and easy. We soon started taking the road to beautiful small villages outside of Tehran until the middle of the deserts of Kerman all the way in the south of the country. We slept in an inn and wondered through the desert at night with the light of a single torch and a sky packed with stars.

Later on I found myself quitting my first part-time job as an English teacher only to spend it on learning a new language myself. Turns out I had to start learning another just a year after to survive the rest of uni years in Portugal.I still dream to be a proper Graphic designer, edit videos, and create beautiful applications along the way. But traveling is always going to be the sparkle of my life.

It’s been quite a while since somehow google has led me to some amazing travel blogs where I got to read about all the amazing experiences and adventures some people had. And that’s how the idea of starting a travel blog popped into my mind.I’m obviously no full-time traveler. In fact I don’t think I’ll ever be. I probably don’t have the guts to leave everything behind and buy a one way tickets to the other side of the world without any assurance of where life will lead me. I probably don’t have much clue of traveling either but hey, I’ve been to a place or two and a girl can dream, right?!So this is basically why I started this blog. It was an excuse to document and share my experiences with the world and add my personal touch to it. I will write and create my content along the way, giving tips that I have learned through my journeys and hopefully bringing a flick of inspiration to you. I would extremely be honored if you join me along the way.

Hi Matin.. you have such an unusualy name. Pleased to stumble on your blog today and your photographs made me want to read all your entries. Well I have .. and I have book marked the ones for Spain and Portugal.. if God willing.. I hope to do it this year. You have a good eye. I asked you a question about your camera and lens for such amazing pics. and I hope you will reply.
Enjoy travelling.. I would like to buy the one way tickets and live out 6 months at a time just travelling.. but that is in my secret dream world. I know that will not happen.. but I have mangaged to wing myself through a few countries, and have a lust list which I will hopefully get a chance to fulfil slowly. So good luck to you and hope you fulfill your dreams of travel… “nothing will work unless you do” Regards from Kuwait..

Thank you so much for your nice comment Angela. I know that traveling might not seem so at reach sometimes, but trust me, the more you get into it the easier it looks. I truly hope you find your way to this part of the planet as there is so much to see. Btw, Matin means dignified, or a person with a lot of dignity in Persian and I believe it means the same in Arabic. It also means the early morning in French. ;)
